Volkswagen subsidiary ADMT, which tests autonomous vehicles, uses Bee Maps from Hivemapper to support its self-driving operations by providing real-time maps.
A Bee Maps representative told CoinDesk that street images taken by project participants using Hivemapper cameras will be used to test Volkswagen’s autonomous driving technology to improve the accuracy of roadside pickups and drop-offs.
