Uniswap's Total Trading Volume Exceeds $3 Trillion
Uniswap became the first decentralized exchange (DEX) to surpass $3 trillion in total trading volume.
Uniswap founder Hayden Adams shared a new record for the crypto exchange on X (formerly Twitter). He expects the platform to soon reach $10 trillion in trading volume.

Uniswap's TVL stands at $5 billion despite its impressive total trading volume. The decentralized crypto exchange's current TVL is half its peak in 2021.
Uniswap's daily trading volume exceeds $3.3 billion. By comparison, the second-largest DEX platform, PancakeSwap, processes about $2.7 billion. Adams' platform also maintains its leadership in market share, accounting for 23%.
Uniswap's native token, UNI, is not reacting to the ecosystem's new records. Over the past 24 hours, its price has increased by 0.4%. At the time of writing, the coin is trading at $7.09, which is 84% below its all-time high (ATH).
In early February this year, Uniswap released v4 with multichain support. The cost of creating pools dropped by almost 100%. The developers also added native support for Ethereum (ETH). However, even this large-scale update had virtually no effect on UNI quotes.
The coin's capitalization exceeds $4.46 billion. According to this indicator, the asset ranks 29th among the largest cryptocurrencies. The daily trading volume of UNI amounted to $325 million over the past 24 hours.
Along with the record volume announcement, Adams also announced the launch of a “smart wallet” called Uniswap. It will support the EIP-7702 standard. This protocol, developed with the help of Vitalik Buterin, provides protection against quantum computing and allows regular wallets to be temporarily converted into smart contracts to simplify transactions. Trust Wallet recently introduced a similar update.
