The document states that Strugats left the firm last week.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he worked for a cryptocurrency company for over three years and lived in New York City.
Both Strugats and FalconX declined to comment on the situation.
Prime brokers play a vital role in financial markets, including both crypto and traditional ones. They are responsible for providing trading, financing, and custody services to large institutions.
Before joining FalconX, Strugats worked at investment firms XN and Glenhill Capital. He began his career as a fund accountant at GlobeOp.
FalconX was founded in 2018 and was valued at $8 billion at the time of its funding round in mid-2022. The company positions itself as the largest digital asset prime broker for institutional clients.
