Frank Spiteri, head of asset management at CoinShares (CS), recently left the cryptocurrency investment firm, according to two people familiar with the matter.
His departure was not part of a wider wave of departures at the St Helier, Jersey-based company, which is currently actively recruiting new staff, said one of the sources, who asked not to be identified because the matter is confidential.
Spiteri did not respond to a request for comment by the time of publication. CoinShares declined to comment.
Spiteri has more than 20 years of experience in financial services and worked at CoinShares for more than five years in London. Before joining CoinShares, he served as head of European distribution and capital markets at ETF issuer WisdomTree, according to his LinkedIn profile.
In February, Stockholm-listed CoinShares reported one of its most successful quarters to date, with revenue in the fourth quarter rising to £48.3 million, up from £31.6 million in the same period last year.
