Binance to Delist 5 Altcoins

The world's largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced the delisting of several altcoins that no longer meet the platform's requirements.

Binance to delist another batch of tokens. All affected coins reacted with a sharp drop.

New Delistings on Binance

During the latest review, Binance has decided to delist the following altcoins:

• Aergo (AERGO)
• AirSwap (AST)
• BurgerCities (BURGER)
• COMBO (COMBO)
• Linear Finance (LINA)

From March 28, trading pairs with the affected tokens will no longer be available on the exchange platform.

Binance regularly evaluates the quality and compliance of crypto projects with all platform requirements. The crypto exchange takes into account such factors as trading volumes and liquidity, security, level and quality of development.

Market reaction

Against the backdrop of the news of delisting, all the affected coins fell sharply in price. The worst hit was the BURGER token, whose quotes fell by almost 50%.

The price of LINA fell by 28%, while AST and COMBO fell by 26% and 21% respectively. The altcoin AERGO suffered the smallest losses. Its price fell by only 5%.

Vote for delisting

Binance also announced that the community will be able to vote on whether to delist tokens from the platform after the last batch of tokens is removed. The crypto exchange recently introduced a new feature where users will be able to influence the platform’s decisions on listing and delisting coins.

Earlier this week, Binance began voting to add nine BNB Chain-based memecoins to the platform, including the popular MUBARAK and BROCCOLI.
