Zodia Custody's chief financial officer, Jonathan Hough, left the London-based company earlier this year, she said. Samuel Hough, who previously served as chief operating officer, also recently left the crypto custodian, according to information from CoinDesk.
“Jonathan has been an invaluable member of the Zodia Custody team over the past two years, and we are truly grateful for his deep knowledge, dedication and leadership during the company’s rapid growth,” a Zodia Custody spokesperson said in an emailed comment.
“While such changes are a natural part of business, our company continues to evolve. In 2023, Zodia Custody employed 97 people. We currently have 140 employees worldwide, and we plan to expand our presence in current markets and enter new jurisdictions in 2025,” the spokesperson added.
Hugh had not responded to a request for comment at the time of publication.
Before joining Zodia Custody, Hugh served as CFO at crypto market maker GSR.
According to his LinkedIn profile, before moving into the digital asset market, he worked in commodities at ED&F Man and Noble Group.
Zodia Custody is supported by Standard Chartered Bank (STAN), SBI Group, Northern Trust and National Australia Bank (NAB).
