Pokras Lampas sold Chirkei HPP’s NFT token for ₽2 million
Russian artist-calligrapher Pokras Lampas has sold his Chirkei hydroelectric power station photo token with a projection of the author’s canvas for ₽2 million.
Russian artist-calligrapher Pokras Lampas has joined the NFT haip by selling a non-interchangeable token for 16 ETH (~$28.6 thousand). The token represents a photo of the Chirkei hydroelectric power plant with a projection of the author’s canvas.
The author put up the NFT-photo for 1 ETH (~$1.7 thousand). The price rose to 16 ETH in just 24 hours, and user @Sylvian (0xeD2C2…27b6) became the owner of the token.
“A project dedicated to the balance between nature and man-made human activities, hydropower and data mining technologies, creation and consumption,”
the artist wrote.
This is Pokras Lampas’ first work in the non-interchangeable token market.
The creative NFT economy
Meanwhile, Christie’s auction house announced the sale of the NFT collage “Everydays – The First 5000 Days” for $69 million. Who exactly became the buyer, remains unknown.
A collage of Everydays – The First 5000 Days
Mike Winkelmann (Beeple) has been working on this collage for 13 years, and the first picture was created in May 2007. It is reported that the paintings reflect all political and cultural events of the past decade.
Such a high-profile success has already made the author of Beeple one of the most expensive living artists. However, unlike Pokras Lampas, this is not Beeple’s first NFT work. The BeInCrypto editorial board previously reported that Beeple launched an NFT token sale on the Nifty Gateway platform and made over half a million dollars in five minutes.
