Key points:

  • Holliday raised $20 million in a round led by venture capital giant Andreessen Horowitz's cryptocurrency arm.
  • Funds from the Series A round will be used to accelerate the development of the Agentic Workflow protocol.
  • “Our goal is to lead the era of blockchain-based software, enabling developers to build applications in hours rather than years,” Halliday said.

Holliday said he has raised $20 million to fund the development of his Agentic Workflow Protocol (AWP), which is designed to speed up the creation of decentralized finance (DeFi) applications and eliminate the need for programmers to write smart contracts.

The Series A funding round was led by venture capital giant Andreessen Horowitz's crypto arm (a16z).

“Our goal is to be the leader in the software era of blockchain, allowing developers to build applications in hours instead of years,” Halliday added in an email. “With Halliday, you no longer have to write smart contracts.”

Halliday's no-code blockchain automation can help accelerate blockchain adoption and shift development from smart contracts to AI-powered workflows, making blockchain more accessible, scalable, and efficient.

The funding round, which follows Halliday's $6 million seed round in 2022 (also led by a16z crypto), received backing from Avalanche Blizzard Fund, Credibly Neutral, and Alt Layer.
