Ellectric car that mines BTC and ETH has been created
Canadian manufacturer of electric transport Daymak for the first time presented a real prototype of its new development — a three-wheeled electric car Spiritus. The main feature of the machine is built-in support for mining cryptocurrencies BTC and ETH.
A video of the test drive was published on his YouTube channel by Daymak Vice President of Research and Development Mike Chow. However, you can’t assess the characteristics of the development from the video — the footage shows the red drop-shaped car only driving through deserted streets and parking.
In the future, cryptocurrency will replace banks
“In the future, we will see BTC and ETH replace banks. Since the car comes with on-board computers, and most cars are known to depreciate over time, it just made sense (to add the ability to mine),” Daymak founder Aldo Bayocchi said in October 2021.
The cryptocurrency is mined using a Nebula miner developed by the company. It can be used to get Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin and other cryptocurrencies while idle — that is, while parked or while recharging.
In addition, electric car owners can use the dashboard to control, send and receive cryptocurrency on the go. Bayocchi estimates that depending on cryptocurrency prices, the electric car can provide a daily income of $5 to $12.
“You use your car for about an hour a day. So with our car, you’ll be making money 23 hours a day,” says the company’s founder.
According to the developers, the two-seat Spiritus has self-driving and wireless charging features, and is equipped with air conditioning, a stereo system with 12 speakers and solar panels.
Among its other features:
- battery capacity – 400 miles of range;
- A top speed of 85 mph (about 137 km/h), making it the fastest three-wheeled electric car in the world;
- acceleration to 100 km/h in 1.8 seconds.
Earlier the media reported about a blogger from San Francisco who customized his Tesla electric car to produce cryptocurrency. The man claims that this allowed him to earn up to $800 a month without much effort.
